According to the KC Star, the Chiefs have agreed to terms to send Alex Smith to the Redskins for a 3rd round pick and CB Kendall Fuller.

This move will free up $17 million in cap space for the Chiefs and move them into a new era of rebuilding while simultaneously continuing the era of Andy Reid misusing his time outs in late game situations.

Assuming the league approves this trade, this would effectively end the saga of Kirk Cousins and the Redskins who have been trying to figure out some sort of long-term deal  for the past two seasons before being franchise tagged.
